This Privacy Policy describes how Sauna Suit App ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (used for authentication only)

When you log a session, we store the following on your device and optionally in your account:

• Body weight measurements (before, after, and next morning)
• Hydration intake values
• Session notes
• Suit type and training location

Anonymised Research Data

When you use the calculator, we may collect anonymised, non-identifiable data to improve the accuracy of our hydration and sweat rate calculations. This data includes:

• Age range, biological sex, approximate weight and height
• Fitness level, workout intensity, suit type, and session duration
• Computed outputs (sweat rate, dehydration percentage, risk level)

This data contains no personally identifiable information. It is never linked to your account, email address, or device. It is used solely for improving calculation accuracy and may be shared in aggregate with sports science researchers and equipment manufacturers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's functionality
• To store your session history securely
• To improve hydration and sweat rate calculation accuracy
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising targeting

Data Storage

Session data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. If you create an account, your session data is also stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database storage, and anonymised analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention & Account Deletion

Your session data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual sessions at any time within the app.

You can permanently delete your account directly within the app by going to the Account tab and tapping Delete My Account. This will:

• Permanently delete your login credentials
• Permanently delete all your session logs
• Immediately revoke access to your data

Anonymised research data (which contains no personally identifiable information and is never linked to your account) is retained to support ongoing improvements to calculation accuracy. This data cannot be traced back to you.

Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you'd prefer to keep your data for future use, you can sign out instead.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
